Given the planned expanded solar and wind projects at Kidston are shovel ready and the natural resources, (concrete), and workforce infrastructure are in place, Brookfield might be interested in acquiring the Farqhar/Jackson shareholding in Genex Power Ltd. Brookfield has the financial resources to take advantage of the pumped hydro from the time it becomes operational next year.

GNX also has the further interest in the battery storage project out of Toowoomba:-

"Genex Power Limited (ASX:GNX) (Genex or the Company) is pleased to announce that it has today
entered into the transaction documents with Solar Choice Pty Ltd (Solar Choice) to acquire a 100%
interest in the development rights for the up to 2GW multi-stage Bulli Creek Clean Energy Project (Bulli
Creek or the Project) located approximately 100km south-west of Toowoomba in south east Queensland
(the Transaction). The first stage of the Project is anticipated to be developed as an up to
400MW/1,600MWh large scale battery energy storage system (Bulli Creek Battery)."

Wonder if Simon Kidston and the GNX board would as receptive to an involvement of Brookfield as they were to the 25 cent takeover offer from the Farqhar/Jackson "Consortium"?
