Has Australia just voted for more mining and additional downstream value-adding manufacturing of battery metals?
The ALP will be rewarded for the Sunrise Project as it is financed and constructed during its initial term in government. The ALP may offer some incentives for value adding of the Ni-Co sulphates but that is yet to be seen. Hopefully construction unions mixed with other inflationary pressures don't blow out costs too excessively in coming years.
However, over the next 50 years many governments (State & Federal, Labour or Liberal) and generations of Australians will be rewarded by the exports Sunrise stands to generate.
It is only a little bit further we need to go.
