To add to this conversation, specifically targeting the issue of EV charging in apartment blocks, Wattblock is a Sydney-based service company spun out of UNSW that provides some of the best-in-class advice for residential buildings transitioning to green energy in Australia. Including EV charging:

There's plenty of information and free resources provided on their site, including a 121 page report commissioned by the City of Sydney. Last updated 4 years ago, the report is comprehensive and insightful. Pages 50 to 56, starting with the section titled "Power Management Solutions", addresses the "100% uptake problem", and issues around demand management. Section 4.7 (p.60) summarises what is achievable with the right technology mix, today. This table (p. 60) is particularly interesting:

IMO, the whole report is at least worth a skim for investors in the EV space as it does provide a good insight into the underlying long-term feasibility, and how these fundamental issues are being pro-actively identified and solved.

As for extinguishing EV fires: F-500 extinguishing agent

Modern problems, modern solutions, and all that.
