VW is a very strong contender for cathode materials. Diess is very friendly with Musk, and I wouldn't be surprised to see Tesla and VW collaborating some day on a number of technologies... all of them Nickel consuming!
Here Diess is "waxing poetic" about the need to "Electrify or die".....They will be using a LOT of Nickel in the future!
