Here’s a link to the CEO presentation on July 12 again as the last one didn’t work;

I note that in the paper from July 2023 it was noted surgeons had encountered “arterial difficulties” in inserting the WiSE device and in his presentation a year later John McCutcheon notes on slide 10 that the training program had been “refined”:
In regards this training, here’s another link to a paper on that study last year. published two weeks after the EBR presentation;
https://jamanetwork.com/journals/ja...;utm_campaign=top_viewed&linkId=540925464
It notes there are still considered to be technical difficulties;
..”There are some technological challenges worth noting.
The system requires a focused beam of ultrasound energy to target the electrode and, thus, is dependent on implanting the transmitter in an intercostal space that is free of lung encroachment.
Also, the battery and transmitter are additional components that the patient must carry, requiring 2 separate chest wall incisions…”
Despite this, the conclusion is that;
In this nonrandomized study, the SOLVE-CRT study has demonstrated that leadless ultrasound-based LV endocardial pacing with the WiSE CRT system is associated with a reduction in LVESV. This is a novel technology that allows the delivery of CRT in patients with HF who meet the standard criteria for CRT but who cannot be treated with conventional CRT.
NB that seven days ago this newly published paper was the most widely viewed on the JAMA linkedin network of getting on to 30,000 interested parties;
https://www.linkedin.com/posts/jama...y-7227992137617879041-2wej?trk=public_profile
So it sounds like there’s heaps of interest out there?
And the insertion of a WiSE device has proven benefits
But that it’s not a simple procedure (Maybe one for future robotic surgery to undertake ?)
cheers
