Hi bj
A very jaundiced view IMHO
Shares are not much different to any other activity, some people have golden hands but for the vast majority if they want to make money they have to WORK at it, when trading I would expect to spend about 8 hours a day "at work"
Plus education which takes more time and effort
As in any area where there is big money there are a lot of scoundrels and they include management, company boards, advisors etc
But no one is going to give you money easily, you have to learn to work in that area or get out
The last bit is until you are very wealthy you will not win if you go for the BIG profits you have to be content with small gains and basically if you follow your plans you should never lose more than about 10% of your capital if you are a failure
The same as any business -- make a plan and stick to the plan and DON'T be greedy
Then you can win, my only regret is that I did not start as soon as I left school
Just my personal view
