Simply how the auction works.
The large order was prepared to pay 11c therefore was at the front of the queue.
Taking the total number of shares in play at the auction, the sells outnumbered the buys by approx 40k shares.
The lowest sell was 10c so the final price was 10c.
This is a very poor description of the auction process, I am sure the asx website would provide a better one.
You can use it to your advantage on occasion but have to be careful as the brokers and funds can change the sizes of their positions in a flash.
I prefer to buy or sell during normal hrs.
