This leads to a interesing point I read the other day. Experts go on about the Sharemarket outperforming all other investments over the long term.

Guess what. Fact is that since the 1920s 75% of companies have failed or shareprice has decreased in value.IE GM.

Its only the index that has outperformed the rest of the market. So if you can pick some of those 25% you are doing well. Otherwise invest in the index if you can pick the lows.
