I think this is a point that is being totally overlooked. NMT have clearly said they have secured at least 1 years supply for the demo plant from another un-named German OEM (not Mercedes) and are running full tests etc.
I see a strong chance that an announcement may soon come of second agreement with another German car maker.
I believe they have also run tests on behalf of an un-named Korean entity (battery maker/OEM?).
The level of interest from the EV supply chain is high but NMT can only report on those that they actually have signed agreements with. We are only hearing about MB, Stelco and Itochu but that does not mean there are not several others doing their DD as we speak.
As always, just my opinion (so probably wrong).
