I thought I would post this here because it directly benefits NMT shareholders as they are the largest shareholder in RIL.

RIL appears to be working on some Alkaline battery recycling tech, so hopefully there will be more news on that in 2025,

Also, RIL could acquire a licence to recycle LFP batteries through the Sunlight Group sometime soon, perhaps in 2025 or 2026. It's something I thought the NMT tech could achieve, but perhaps it's not as efficient. I don't know. Anyway, RIL will have a separate exclusive global licence to recycle LFP batteries in any part of the world.


Many battery manufacturers are moving toward LFP batteries as they're cheaper & not as flammable, that's my understanding, but I'm not a chemical engineer. The trade-off is those types of batteries aren't as "energy dense" as lithium-ion batteries, therefore range can be a problem.

The current agreements with RIL using Primobius/NMT tech are displayed below, along with MB.

The Sunlight Group in Greece is the opportunity RIL has to acquire a global LFP licence.




RIL has a similar business model to NMT, in which they could operate their own plant, enter a JV with an OEM or issue a licence. RIL will have to pay a 10% gross revenue royalty from any Primobius tech that's used in a plant & from memory, it's only some of the products from the hub. I could be wrong.

For now, the CR counterpart at RIL is MOLC & perhaps there will be some friendly rivalry over the years to come. MOLC worked at Greenhouse Investment Group (GIG), which is the second biggest shareholder in RIL, just behind NMT. GIG received a licence from NMT many years ago, which has now been rolled under the RIL umbrella.
