He also talked about a spoke and hub system to collect feedstock from aggregators whose business it is to collect batteries of any type from mobile phones to ev.
The batteries would then be shredded making them safe for transportation and storage.
This feedstock would then be sent to strategically located processing hubs where the metals would be extracted and sold to the battery makers, (located near where ev vehicles were being manufactured).
He said the goal was to recover 95% of materials, the best the opposition can do at this stage is 50%. Even in demonstration phase he said they are attaining 80%.
