Our sustainable and CO2-reduced recycling process clearly convinced the panel in this highly competitive environment in the "Resources" category.This means the young joint venture has overcome the next hurdle and will, I hope, be invited on stage in December as the winner of the 14th German Sustainability Award. All that remains is for us to keep our fingers crossed and hope the trophy makes its way to Hilchenbach soon.The 14th German Sustainability Day will take place both live and virtually in Düsseldorf on December 2 and 3, 2021. Around 100 renowned experts from the fields of politics, business, communities, and civil society will be on hand to discuss important transformation-related topics with the conference participants under the motto of WORLD / CLIMATE / CHANGE.We are proud to enrich the program with our contribution to the recovery of a large proportion of valuable materials from lithium-ion batteries.Primobius is the result of a joint venture partnership between Australian Stock Exchange listed company Neometals Ltd. and private German engineering and technology company, SMS group. Primobius is to commercialize advanced recycling technology, offering a unique and sustainable method for recovering valuable lithium, nickel, cobalt and other materials from expended and scrap electric vehicles and consumer electronics LiB’s. Recovered and refined product materials will be reformed and re-applied back into the battery supply chain.
