Battery chemistry is constantly being tweaked but often you see reports on lab testing, claimed to be a cheaper better solution without much reference to rest of market and competing tech, wether it’s scaleable, timescales to fully prove up ( often several years from simple lab test if indeed it works on a competitive scale)
Thoughts are I don’t think much of the report, I do however continue to read these incase threats from competing technologies may impact NMT as it’s constantly moving, but so far the batteries appear to be relatively similar in content with some changes to reduce high value elements such as cobalt.
Primobus appears able to recycle them all and make good money, and by the time anything of significance comes along we should have several plants up and running with millions of tonne spent batteries needing recycled.
Only my thoughts others my have differing opinions, Loop.
