IMO, nothing wrong with the bit change, if the formation is too hard, operators do tend to go thro' bits.
Sometimes they do end up losing the cones/nozzles, have block-ups in the nozzle & then go fishing for these. Its all part & parcel of drilling. Am not sure why people would panic on news of a bit change!!
The main thing is they are drilling towards the first target, so look fwd to that.
