Was driving home in rain yesterday which made me think, "Has anybody incorporated solar panels on the roof of an EV?". No idea why the rain made me think of it.
I know they wouldn't be large enough for continuous supply but could certainly help extend range, and could be enough to get you out of trouble if you ran flat away from a recharge station, ie park up for a few hours then limp to a recharge station, assuming it was sunny.
