The support from the Govt cannot be understated.
Some investors shun African projects for sexy American/Canada projects until you realise the amount of hoops one has to get through to get a project going there: bureaucratic red tape, environmental groups, native issues, professional protesters and whole lot of lawyers looking to make a quick buck.
When its all said and done, maybe country risk is much higher is some of these so called tier 1 jurisdictions
