mart62 There is no fixed formula mate. There are endless ways you could approach any given stock & ultimately it depends on a multitude of factors such as your average price, the size of your holding relative to net assets, macro environment of the sector, broader state of the economy, company progression, news flow, raising funds to move elsewhere etc. etc.
How I like to rationalise it all is to ask "how strong is my conviction on the long term potential of this company and the likelihood it can realise that potential?"
It's important to make decisions that you are content with, irrespective of whether you may leave some coin on the table. Free carrying is a good position to be in either way.
