No market crash this year, but very choppy market(s) just the same.

Bird Flu - the precedent was set in 1918 with the "Spanish Flu"....By the fall of 1918 a strain of influenza seemingly no different from that of previous years suddenly turned so deadly.....

In 1997 when H5N1 "Chicken Ebola" first surfaced, it killed 30% of those who got it. In 2005 it killed 50% of those who got it. In 2006.......

A different perspective - remember the worldwide fear of the Y2K bug!!(not to say it couldn't have happened).

China will not bust within the next 5 years at least (probably quadruple that) - Olympic games just over 2 years off, even greater economic activity.

Iran - will not bother the world much unless they actually get an atomic missile away (look out Israel). 9/11, big market crash. Invasion of Iraq, market flicker. Invasion of Iran, "pass the salt please".

American housing market? Well they predicted a big crash in the Australian housing market after its meteoric performance too. I didn't notice all that much! Lot of baby boomers trying to create retirement wealth, could go on for years.

If a problem does arise to affect CCI, it is more likely to occur in SA itself.

T4P is dead right. If we all had to emigrate to Mars, the price of the ore would go through the roof. Problem is, we wouldn't be here to collect profits.

All this is just IMHO, and I've been known to be wrong.
