I noticed the issue with suppliers mentioned in the March 23 quarter. Apparently it was a quality issue related to glass filled HDPE used in manufacture of battery stacks. Key supplier materials are currently expected to arrive in mid May 23 (about now) allowing a return to normal production levels.

This follows the obscure announcement with the December quarter that production recommences following the resolution of temporary minor quality issues with a third party supplier - which was subsequently clarified following an enquiry from the ASX that production did not halt - and the recommence wording had been taking out of context (it should have said full production recommences).

Both instances reflect a worrying failure to keep the market fully informed, and perhaps more concerning is they may indicate quality issues have been behind the company's inability to secure a significant contract? We've never had see through data provided by the company on the number of batteries produced, sold or returned/repaired under warranty in each quarter. Would be a great performance indicator to measure management, and possibly is the reason why we never get that info. Wonder if the UL certification testing has been impacted by quality issues? Would be interested to hear from genuine industry insiders if Redflow has developed a reputation for poor reliability as it has been dogged by production problems going all the way back to the Flex days under Simon Hackett's leadership?
