Interesting announcement by SOP today witha contreact to STO to use independent remote solar battery microgrids . I assume they are using lithium but not seen any specs for Santos deployments or Melb water one. The power container looks to be heavily insulate dan dvented so I wonder if tehy ahve considered RFX batteries as opposed to lithium.
This si happening in RFX own backyard with industrial giants like Santos who will transittion all remote power supply currently supplied by gas and diesel generation quite quickly with modular microgrids - plug and play with existing power distribution module to power wells and equipment.
Just how far away in pricing is RFX compared to lithium when RFX should have a massive advantage around a gas infustructure as it doesn't catch fire nor need aircon ???
The missed opportunities to grow with modular growing microgrids in own country are adding up quickly. Could easily be a oil and gas standard worldwide by mjor oil and gas .
