individuals choose to not work and receive a free handout instead of going to work - I still cannot see why unemployed people got a 750 bonus at the start of the CIV-19 lockdown AND an increase in their fortnightly payment... while those people that went to work (casual or part time etc) got nothing... there needs to be incentives for people to go to work - not stay off it.

Perhaps stimulus needs to be aligned more with actions that will cause an increase in employment or sales -> tax generation.

I know many individuals who were forced out of work and would love a job. Too overqualified for jobs available and get knocked back. So they rely on the covid dole.

Otherwise it's been massively overstated the amount of people not working to get it. I know it happens, but there are many who are frustrated and embarrassed about being stuck on these payments with a very poor medium term job outlook.
