Really big difference being a sub metering situation and being a actual generator as could be construed. GST and energy retailer laws all lock in unless there has been law changes. Nothing wrong with with strata unit having it's own battery in central facility and also the strata also having one or more batteries for common property lighting, pool heating , lifts etc but lose the efficiency of true load share and time shift . If you had 15% battery left every morning in winter why wouldn't you " share it to strata " rather than for stuff all to the grid to heat the pool or hot water. Every state has different rules , each generation area and network provider had different rules and then there is national rules as well. All above my head.

All those empty city car spaces could be indoor battery areas as the whole car share gig gets going and economic car ownership for individuals reduces 2 shared electric cars, and 2 extra bays of batteries instead of 4 cars.
