A good point you raise, Shades.
There are parties out there interested in seeing lower Li prices. The Chinese producers have the most to gain if there is a sustained erosion of price for one of their key inputs. And, with a little help from financial engineers that will sell their grandmother quicker than upset a "client", they have been able to subdue expectations of price rises.
Add to this their marketing muscle by suggesting there is no under supply of Li (but a pending over supply) and you get what we are seeing in the equity markets at present.
Fast forward a few months when the reality is that there truly is a shortage of Li to meet current and future demand and we will see a return of the bull to the Li stocks.
Seems to me that we get blinded by the card sharks.... create an "issue" over here and take your eyes off the real story over there......
