A more realistic projection I recently saw is by 2020 4% of all vehicles on the road will be electric, didn't specify if that was electric drive (could be hybrid) or all electric.
It is coming, but going to take a while, most new cars being bought today are good for 20 years if serviced regularly, so until combined cost of purchase and running/ownership makes it economical to throw away a perfectly good ICE car then they will be around and still manufactured in some markets.
There is still plenty of hydrocarbons to be exploited.
