Africa Oil & Gas have reportedly been looking to sell their 20% stake in Venus for US$1.8b.
For the six months to 30 June, WDS reported net profit after tax of $1.74b. Their presentation notes "Strong and flexible balance sheet with high liquidity and low gearing, supporting near term growth".
Not going to happen in the immediate term, but wouldn't rule it out at some point.
