    That is the first time I have seen a well explained opposing opinion on the source rock not being thermally mature enough to charge Saturn.

    A quick look at the activity in the area shows:

    Venus was drilled to 6296m
    Graff was drilled to 5376m
    Moosehead was drilled to 4170m and was dry
    PEL 37 was drilled to 3830m and was dry

    PCL states that the Saturn Superfan sits on Mature Oil Source Rocks but does not appear to be that much deeper than Moosehead therefore potentially supporting your concern that there is not enough heat at that depth to charge Saturn with oil.

    I dont recall reading anywhere (It might be out there somewhere though) at what depth the Saturn kudu shale source rock sits at.

    Based on Venus and Graff it would ideally sit at about 5500-6500m ?

    Is that about right OldGeo ?
