“Converting to a 1.5% gross overriding revenue royalty” imo means that it would change its financial arrangement to
receive a 1.5% share of the total revenue generated from oil or gas, without any deductions for operating or maintenance expenses
It’s a common practice in industries like mining and oil & gas apparently
