Rubbish!
For PCL the information is definitely material and price sensitive.
WDS maybe not, as its not material to their share price.ASX Listing Rule 3.1 requires listed entities to immediately disclose materially price sensitive information to ASX so that it can be disseminated to investors.
It also contains a 'carve-out' that allows information to be withheld from immediate disclosure if it satisfies one or more of the following five criteria.
- - It would be a breach of the law to disclose the information.
- - The information concerns an incomplete proposal or negotiation.
- - The information comprises matters of supposition or is insufficiently definite to warrant disclosure.
- - The information is generated for internal management purposes of the entity.
- - The information is a trade secret.
Information may only be withheld if it remains confidential and a reasonable person would not expect it to be disclosed (in relation to the five criteria above).
