Happy to share as we're all in this and in the decades of investing, I have seldom come across potentials such as Saturn.
To be fair, I would normally expect the drill to still be 12 months off given current circumstances. However, we know that Shell has not extended Deepsea Bollsta's contract beyond June (
link) and it remains available from that time (
link). WDS would have sufficient data to make a decision on whether to farm in - decision has already been made imo.
It makes sense for odfjell and any major to contract Bollsta in the area. Demand for such rigs in the 'global exploration hot spot' is high. Therefore, I see it more as a case of whether WDS is willing to trump Total, Chevron or Galp. Time will tell.
