The GALP discovery is very encouraging in that the AVO (Amplitude versus Offset) analysis (suggest the technically curious follow this up with Dr Google as it is a bit dificult to explain in a few words) has been backed up by the drill bit. This process uses the data that has not yet been delivered by CGG will be key to WDS deciding to go ahead or not ! Which is clearly why WDS has not set the clock ticking on the 180 days. Obviously the data can not be interpreted until it has been delivered and there is a lot of serious number crunching involved, so if the interpretation is encouraging WDS would be mad not to go ahead, and if the results are not encouraging there may be a deep pause in activities. This is the unfortuneate truth of the matter.
