My interpretation of PCL comments was that the position of Mopane, being intra slope, is similar to Saturn. C.f Venus which is basin floor. The other key factor is same source rock - Kudu Shale. In terms of reservoir sands I am not at all fussed whether they are Upper Cretaceous or Lower Cretaceous. As long as these sands display widespread porosity/permeability and as long as these sands are covered by an appropriate seal then the differences in sedimentological age of host is not something I can see worth worrying about. The fact that Saturn host rocks are older may? suggest that they have potential to be oil charged for a longer period of time than those at Mopane! As I stated at the beginning of my post I think the intra slope location was the main point PCL was trying to make re "similar" to Mopane.
