Your cgt will be calculated on difference between your outlay minus your sale price.
It gets a bit more complocated but the lomger you hold, the bigger the discount as far as im aware.
oppies expire im august 2025 so if theoretically, oppies expired and worth nothing, you would have a capital loss event which you can offset from future cgt earnings.
oppies are definitely the way to go if you want to maximise potential return if share price does go crazy. Which most believe will be the case incl me.
