The political landscape in Australia for the hydrocarbon industry is so tainted with the hatred espoused by this Federal Government and the Greens that it is no wonder that WDS is focussing it's expansion overseas.
I am also of the opinion that the PCL share price is as flat as it is because of the indoctrination of young people by the teaching fraternity on the evil nature of the fossil fuels, so much so that they choose not to invest in companies like ours.
The scrambling by the big Oil companies to gain a foothold in the Orange Basin gives me a lot of confidence in the future success of our WDS partnership.
Like everyone here I'm eagerly waiting for some snippet of positive information from the 3D analysis.
The news that we are getting from Total, Shell and Galp are very encouraging and we should be getting some news from Chevron very soon from drilling in PEL 90. If this comes in as a positive result .... well .... I'll be excited.
I am impressed with the increase in the drilling results from Total with the potential for the Mangetti structure to be contiguous with Venus.
Looking at the above mapping, and yes I know that they are only indicative, but to my untrained eye, the Venus/Mangetti structure looks to be getting close to half the size of the Saturn structure ( as defined by the 2D seismic).
That will potentially make Saturn a massive hydrocarbon deposit. I say that as it could have an enormous gas deposit associated with it too considering that the massive Kudu gas discovery to our south east.
Galp's excitement with their discovery in the Mopane wells and their future prospects will draw more interest from other Oil Companies around the world. I think there was some hint that they were looking for partners to join them with the development costs/commercialization of their discoveries.
If there is widespread interest in being part of this then any company who misses out might be eager to buy PCL out of any Saturn discovery and if there is competition for it then we might be really lucky.
