It might be me but sorry no, your logic didn't make sense.

From that I assume you are meaning a takeover before Woodside farm in ?

If you believe the extended timeline of @nammuldi then sure Woodside, or anyone else, will have plenty of time to accumulate shares to position themselves for a takeover, without spooking the market and jump starting the SP.

But there has been no movement in or out of the T20 up to now, and it would be hard to disguise an accumulation with the current average daily volume traded (which is being watched intently)

If you take a tighter view of the the farm-in and first drill timeline, which I do, they dont have particularly long to get themselves positioned to takeover PCL.

Takeover: YES
Timing: POST SUCCESSFUL FIRST DRILL & DST

And as @Hittman and @chevvie and others have pointed out the takeover offer will not be based on market cap it will be based on a starting point on what the in ground value of the resource is assessed at, very risky and hard to do when all you have is the 3D analysis.

My view at this point:

April: Woodside inform MME & Joint Venture Partners of their decision to farm-in followed by public announcement
May: Woodside centre stage at African Energy Summit
June: Drill commences move into first drill position

Im sure everyone would be happy if this eventuates !
