Great posts by Jillybagger and OldGeo on the implications of TotalEnergie results from Venus.
The images from the last PCL webinar seminar mirror closely the plays seen in the Venus-basin floor fan, Mangetti- turbidite lobe and Mopane- upperCretaceous channel sand/lobe plays.
The PCL seismicsection shown by OldGeo for Saturn shows that Saturn has all three types ofplays.
To my mind , thebiggest challenge for Woodside will be which play to drill first, assuming that Woodside exercise their famin drill option, which I consider very likely.
I expect the finaldrill location for the Greater Saturn Prospect will try to intersect as many plays as possible, from theshallower Upper Cretaceous channel fans through to the basin floor fan sitting on theAptian.
Obviously,the AVO results will be the critical determinant of the final drill location selected for the first well on the Greater Saturn Prospect.
