Drswing, thanks for the Proactive video about Eco and Block1.I see what you mean about “it’s not what you know, it’s who you know” Eco really lucked out here because it may prove to be a bonanza.
Slowly but surely the Orange Basin activity is moving down south of the border.
My extended family live on the West Coast and I have been alerting them to the on-shore potential when the offshore activities ramp up (I was involved in offshore logistics at Karratha and Darwin).
Unfortunately they are suffering from south african development fatigue - always lots of talk and no action, and they have been hearing about oil/gas on the west coast for decades and nothing has ever happened!
