Having some insight into Woodside from the inside you really only need to look at what they have done over the last 2yrs to give you an indication of their plans / ambitions and that would be Growth and Expansion at home and overseas.

Development of Browse Gas Field - NWS back-up - Ongoing.

Woodside want to be a bigger global player and have been partnered with BP, Shell, Chevron, BHP for years already so they know how to play the game, its not like this is their Rodeo....if they have something valuable and it helps grow the company then they are not going to give it up to their direct competition, they are more likely to use it for their continued growth....from little things big things grow!
