"Initially attracted to the oil and gas industry because of her interest in travel, O’Neill began a 23-year career at ExxonMobil, where she has held senior management positions at ExxonMobil in Indonesia, Norway and Canada, she has, as well as vice president for Africa at ExxonMobil Development Company, responsible for the company's main projects in Angola, Nigeria, Tanzania and Mozambique. In May 2018, O’Neill moved to Perth to join Woodside as chief operating officer, before being appointed CEO and managing director in August 2021, because of his bold vision and proven leadership abilities. O’Neill holds two degrees in chemical engineering and ocean engineering,as well as a master's degree in ocean systems management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Aside from the confusing use of pronouns (poor translations, most likely), more substantiating evidence that ExxonMobil likely has the inside track with Woodside regarding PEL 87!
This is encouraging to hear as well: Ms. O’Neill is also responsible for stimulating the expansion of Woodside’ on the continent and in Namibia, where the Australian exploration and production company’ is finalising an agreement to exploit the’ oil exploration licence 87 in the’Orange basin in deep waters. L’initial interpretation of 3D seismic data, as well as additional discoveries made by Galp in the nearby Mopane Complex, confirmed the prospectivity of the area and placed Woodside at the threshold of a future drilling activity.
