Agree. Between the signing of the doc and AVO analysis (Iain suggested 6-8 weeks and that was 4 weeks ago), we may well receive a flurry of news in Sept. Then drilling across all blocks starts up again.
In the meantime, I do find it interesting that TotalEnergies is drilling Tamboti-1X next to the north-east of Venus first. They have a drilling plan for south of Venus late this year / early next, but chose to start with Tamboti-1X instead. Likely because it's closer to the giant Mopane (and us) - see map below for newbies. The note also in the Upstream article that 'Venus comprises Early Cretaceous sands, while Mopane, according to third-party information, is thought to house Late Cretaceous sands'. Doesn't hurt to have both play types...as we do (see table below from the PCL March quarterly).
