Well the longer they wait, as per the article, the more expensive the rigs. With the region heating up, rig bookings for short-term in 2018 was $120,000-$130,000. Dayrates are now averaging $365,000 since 2022, with the most recent fixture secured for $410,000 per day.
I may not be comparing apples with apples because I'm new to the O&G scene but dang!
Come on, WDS! Come on, PCL! Every quarter that passes, dayrate of rigs in the hottest O&G region in the world is rising! Get a move on.
