I’m guessing just as much as everyone else but given the recent developments with Exxon stepping away from potentially getting hold of 40% of 10Bboe, there could be multiple reasons? But surely one of those would have to be they have their eye on a bigger prize?
Why else would a Major Oil company be stepping out of one of the
worlds hottest oil zones allowing direct competition to pick up prime realestate?
Interesting times; maybe 25% of something with a lager resource perhaps!
Who knows how this will play out!
