Ok just a hypotheical
How about a scenario where Woodside has its own problems i.e. being set up for takeover post bans from Greens, creating serious loss of revenue.
It has been rumored that Chevron could be on the market as potential buyer.
I have mentioned this before but maybe Woodside wants a joint venture with muscles to the likes of Exxon for Pel87 exploration.
It might come across as a conspiracy but if one thing is certain, Woodside is huge Aussie O&G company, yet they have been kicked into the gutter and made to source new income streams elsewhere.
