I’m going to have to jump on board with the disappointed crew now. It’s been how many months since the Q&A where Iain directly stated it would be “weeks not months” for an update. Radio silence is killing this stock. My gut instinct is that it’s not good, but not bad either.
Reasoning being if it was bad bad, Woodside would have made a move by now and exited stage left. It very well could be a case that they do want to exit stage left and are potentially in the process of finding a suitable buyer of their portion of the permit + data access rights.
If it was good, PCL could have easily come out with another announcement stating that things are moving along nicely without necessarily having to cross any red lines with regards to non-disclosure clauses on potential lead details.
It feels like to me it sits somewhere in the middle. Where they don’t necessarily want/need to put out an announcement stating that they’re still ironing out some specific details in the future/current agreement between parties.
It certainly does feel like we’re in a frustrating holding pattern, and the lack of communication through normal back channels to reassure investors (even with a new dedicated PR team) is disheartening.
