I probably misunderstood your reference to fine sands. In Senegal , apart from the 95m oil column with gas cap there was also 36m net reservoir of oil bearing sands. I remember there was concern over possible clogged of oil tube but they seemed to sort out that issue. I thought your reference to fine sand was related. Sorry for the confusion.
