    Hi MidDigitalHair,
    Good question. The distance of sediment transport from the palaeo-Namibian coastline (Albian - Aptian) to the Venus basin floor sand depositional site, is mostly likely greater than that for Saturn and hence, as you say, a higher chance of winnowing-out of the fines/clays over these longer transport distances and therefore improved sandstone reservoir quality. PCL has interpretated a northerly current direction during the Albian-Aptian, and hence northerly sediment transport during this timeframe. The distance from the interpreted Saturn feed channel (see below) to the core of the Saturn depositional site is about 100kms. See info below.
