Woodside have three major projects they are juggling at the moment - Scarborough LNG, Driftwood LNG (USA), OCI Ammonia (USA), and to complete all of this and cross the the finish line into the wealth generation lane it's going to be draining the old bank balance by Billions! What better way to get some much needed funds coming back into the bank to help you achieve project completion without leaving yourself to poor than maybe having full access via a Seismic licence to another potential investment that you can use as leverage then offer to others to be part of for a really nice cash injection just when you need it the most! I am just a punter like the rest of you and really over this Seismic licence but I do think there is alot at play here, why else are WDS still hanging around and needing this Seismic licence so bad? If 40% of Mopane is worth multiple billions then who knows how much X amount of Saturn would be worth? especially if you can get another really good juggler in to help you manage all the balls you currently have in the air and takes a bit of pressure off!, sound like a win win to me!
Just my thought and who really knows but hopefully we will all know one way or the other very soon!
