Shell made to Orange Basin-opening discovery with Graff, but it appears, if the TROVE chap has done his research/homework, that Shell only tested the channel/modified/ truncated gravity slide play in the shallow section with Graff, Jonker, Enigma, La Rona and Lesedi - again if TROVE have done their research. Unfortunately, not all play-types in the Orange Basin are going to result in commercially viable outcomes. PCL has made no mention of the gravity slide play-type in their announcements to date and is focusing on the Venus and Mopane/Sagittarius play-types. Slide below from latest TROVE video.
And remember, that the Saturn and Mopane/Sagittarius complexes are located east of the marginal ridge / outer high (an important structural/topographic feature in my view - black dotted line running north south on map below), while Venus, Mangetti etc, and perhaps Chevron's Kapana-1 prospect, are west of the marginal ridge/outer high. Given the size of the PEL-87 block, it fortunately appears to straddle the marginal ridge/outer high and may contain not only the Mopane / Sagittarius play types, but also the Venus and Kapana play types.
Note the location of the Saturn and Mopane complexes relative the carbonate buildups (blue and white squares / blobs) tested by Moosehead-1 and Cullinan-1; coincidence (?) or important topographic features influencing sediment deposition.
Also note the secondary focus emphasised by PCL (Aptian/Barremian) outboard of the Saturn complex. I believe Woodside will await the Kapana-1 and Sagittarius-1 well results before making a farm-in decision.
