It would help if I actually read the text wouldn't it?... I missed that bit!

It is an interesting one. There is thought that the deeper syn-rift source rock is responsible for some of the gas in Kudu (normal upwards migration as opposed to downward migration from the Aptian into the Barremian reservoirs there). And I think it was AJ-1 (Soekor, 1988?) offshore South Africa that proved this potential in the offshore. So, certainly a possible source rock there at a more appropriate (oil mature) depth. I am a bit uncertain on the distribution of that deeper source rock though, can't recall any maps of it in that area and I wonder if it would have been deposited onto this more transitional-type crust. What are your thoughts on that?

With regard to Kapana in Chevron's block, I think that is right in the sweet spot of peak oil maturity. I have the burial depth of the Aptian at Kapana being equivalent to Mopane. I think Mopane has probably already de-risked Saturn in terms of the Aptian source rock. Kapana as far as I know is invoking the Aptian source rock, so a discovery only further de-risk the Aptian source. I don't think it talks to the potential of the deeper source rock (IMHO).
