If this is true PCL could be luckier than Shell when the clay, chlorite content is the critical problem.

It could help if we would know the flowing pressure (p(wf)) versus rate (q) diagram from the 14.000 bbl/ d Mopane well test from Galp

I do not know if Galp gave some hints or not. But when a company like Exxon or Shell visits the Galp data room and sees such a diagramm with sharply decreasing p(wf) respectively q this would explain why they walked away. On the other hand the reservoir engineers from Petrobras would have seen this diagram as well together with logs, cores etc. and these colleagues were optimistic ...

It is all about Geology in the Saturn block. Unfortunately you never can be sure and we need the first well there.
