For those interested, below is a bit more detail on the potential importance that bottom currents (snippets from Reserarch papers) may play in enhancing reservoir quality at Mopane, Saturn and Sagittarius, as well as other prospects situated between the Cretaceous Namibian continental shelf and the Marginal Ridge / Outer High which separates the inner sub-basin (Saturn, Mopane, Sagittarius) from the outer sub-basin (Venus, Kapana etc). As we know, well deliverability is linked to reservoir quality (permeability), and longevity of a wells production and volumes of hydrocarbons, is linked to reservoir connectivity and lateral extent (area) of the hydrocarbon-bearing sands.
If this thinking carries weight, Sagittarius-1 should have Mopane-quality reservoir sands (good porosity and high permeability), hopefully charged with hydrocarbons. We will know soon enough.......
